With operations in Sweden, Norway and China, the aim is clear: to build stronger capabilities around customer needs and create an organisation that works even more effectively across locations.
– For us, this is about combining the strengths of our different sites. We have different capabilities in Sweden, Norway and China, and there is a lot of value in bringing those together in a more structured way, says Bård Gamnes, CEO at Aluwave.
Strengthening operations across the group
Kent Johansson has joined Aluwave as COO, with responsibility for operations in Norway, Sweden and China, while also serving as Site Manager in Gothenburg.
He brings extensive experience from electronics manufacturing and a strong interest in Lean and continuous improvement.
Adding engineering competence
In Gothenburg, Eirik Velta joined the company in January as an electronics development engineer.
Originally from Norway but with many years in Sweden, Eirik also represents the increasingly close collaboration between Aluwave’s Swedish and Norwegian operations. His addition strengthens the company’s electronics development capacity, a central part of both customer projects and Aluwave’s own product solutions.
Strengthening the team in Kirkenes
The Kirkenes operation has also been reinforced in two important areas.
Matias Norum (pictured above) returned to the company in May as Production Manager. Having previously worked within purchasing at Barel, he already knew the organisation, products and people, allowing him to step quickly into his new role.
At the same time, Lisa Faria Hossain (pictured above) has joined within purchasing, supply chain and logistics. With a master’s degree in logistics from Molde, she adds specialist competence in an area that is particularly important for a manufacturing operation in Northern Norway.
– Production, purchasing and logistics are closely connected. Strengthening these capabilities is important for our ability to deliver reliably and support our customers, says Bård Gamnes.
Different roles. One direction.
Operations, engineering, production and supply chain are very different parts of the organisation, but they all contribute to the same goal: building a stronger Aluwave for the future.
– We are strengthening several parts of the organisation at the same time. It is about making sure we have the competence and structure we need to support our customers and continue developing Aluwave across our different locations, says Bård Gamnes.
